This is a workshop dedicated to learning how to spin underneath your rigging point on almost ANY aerial apparatus except for silks. This workshop is for all levels who want to understand how to generate a continuous spin, control their speed and find ease in motion. We will dissect the "star spins", "piqué/passé turns" and "tornado spin" with hands/arms on the apparatus and feet anchoring to the ground. This will give you a variety of ways to start a spinning sequence or simply add a dramatic moment in their choreography.

You do not need to spin (or spin fast) for the whole workshop! Workshop will include warm up, conditioning and posture for spinning, spins on aerial hoop, hammock, trapeze and/or silks, and cool down. Taking breaks is welcome. Please bring water, light snacks and any anti-nauseants that help you (ex. snacks, ginger candy, ginger tea).

Workshop is held in English. No ASL interpretation is available. Studio is wheelchair accessible. Adaptive strategies will be implemented when needed and/or requested. Please let us know if you have any access needs we can help with.

BEGINNERS WELCOME! Please be sure to arrive early.
